The collection contains correpondence, 1972-1976, regarding the publishing and distribution of "Indians' Summer" and the attempt to sell movie rights to Warner Brothers. Nasnaga was the pseudonym of Roger W. Russell, 1941-. He was a member of the Shawnee Nation, United Remnant Band which was comprised of mixed-blood Shawnee based in Ohio. Nasnaga wrote a novel, "Indians' Summer", published in 1975 by Harper and Row under its Native American Publishing Program. Russell was an artist and draftsman in Texas.
